"Northwest Art"...the phrase has a certain ring to it. Names like Dale Chihuly, Morris Graves and Mark Tobey are associated with it. Images of vast mountain panoramas and natural beauty come to mind.

While all of the above is certainly a part of the art of the Pacific Northwest, it only represents the tip of the iceberg. The Seattle art scene is vibrant, diverse, and expanding. Seattle has a wide variety of art resources. There's public art (see the Fremont Troll, right), museums big and small, a myriad of galleries, and numerous organizations that promote and sustain art in the Puget Sound.
